What is the cost to be included in Little Mom Book?
Nothing! The beauty of Little Mom Book is that all service providers are nominated and vetted by moms. It is important to Little Mom Book that its members can trust the authenticity of the service provider recommendations and be rest assured the inclusion was not “bought.”
All service providers are nominated by moms for moms. Once nominated and an initial profile is created, service providers may have opportunities to increase their visibility within Little Mom Book through marketing outreach.
What information can I include on my profile?
Think of your profile as an extension of your website or store front…
Members can search for service providers by location, category that the service(s) falls under and keyword search. If you serve clients nation-wide, you will be included under all 50 states. Moreover, if your services span across a number of different categories, your profile will be listed under all applicable categories. When setting up your profile, it is important to work the the Little Mom Book team to ensure you are optimizing your visibility.
Within your profile, you can include:
- a description of services offered;
- your company’s contact information and website;
- promotional material;
- videos containing tutorials;
- online video courses for members***
*** Little Mom Book can assist in creating the video for your profile and bringing your expertise directly to the hands of our members. In most instances, service providers can charge members a set rate for those courses. An example of a course could be a chef who presents on their profile a one-hour cooking class. Another example could be a lactation specialist teaching a one hour course on nursing. Members and service providers are no longer limited to locality or contact lists. Please contact Little Mom Book if you are interested in a video course.
Can I offer Little Mom Books members’ promotions?
Yes! In fact, most service providers offer Little Mom Book members promotions and/or discounts. You can include such information right on your profile! Little Mom Book can work with you in verifying members or marketing your promotions. Promotions can include monthly specials, coupon codes, packages…and so on!
What items does Little Mom Book need from a nominated service provider?
Each service provider is asked to complete an “application.” Please click here.
What if I have not yet been nominated by a member but would like to become part of Little Mom Book?
Little Mom Book would love to hear from you. We would be happy to have some of our mom tribe begin to vet you!
Does Little Mom Book research service providers?
Little Mom Book reserves the right to research any nominated service provider. Service providers are prohibited from providing false or misrepresentation information in their application and/or profile. Moreover, it is as Little Mom Book’s sole discretion as to what content can be included in a service provider’s profile. Little Mom Book reserves the right to remove any and/or all content contained on a service provider’s profile.
Can I edit my profile?
Yes, when you login, you can edit your profile. Note, any revisions and/or modification is subject to approval by the Little Mom Book team.
I do not have an online presence and do not know where to start?
Little Mom Book is here to help! Your profile can be used as your own personal website! We also have members on our team that can help design the content with you.
Who can list on the directory?
A service provider that is a legally established business and caters to moms, kids, or families.If you have not started your business yet, we do offer resources available to help guide you to get your business off the ground. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire on how we can help you get started.
How do I get listed?
Please click here to submit your application. However, we then review your application to see if it is a fit with little mom book. Because we ensure that services cater to moms and families, we do not permit all companies to be approved.
Once we review your application, we will accept or reject your application and notify you. Please make sure to complete as much of the application as you can.
What happens once I submit an application to be listed?
The little mom book team will review your application to see if you meet our internal requirements. If you do, you will be notified that your application has been submitted. If you are missing important information, we will also notify you to complete our requirements. If you’ve not been previously vetted or nominated, we will begin our internal process.
You will receive a notification typically within one week of your submission but it’s typically much faster, but it depends on the quality of your application.
What if I want to sell products but not a service?
We do accept product providers for certain categories that are specific to babies and moms. This does span the scope of mom-to-be subscription box to essential oils to improve the look of a sleep deprived mom to birthday invitations and paper goods to baby clothes, etc… If you are not sure if you would fit into our category mix, please contact us at email@example.com or contact us here.
However, we do not currently offer the functionality to purchase goods from our site.
What if I have an information product or digital good?
That’s great! We love providers with these types of goods as long as it caters to moms and families.
What size and number of photos can I add to the profile?
We currently allow 10 photos. To optimize your photos, make the height 450px . An image cannot have a file size more than 128MB.
What does ‘set as logo’ mean?
This will be the photo that shows in search results.
What is the results photo size?
The results or ‘logo’ photo is approximately 290px in width in the list view (grid view is the default). The grid view is a 1:1 aspect ratio, or a square, and is automatically cropped to show this aspect ratio. However, it expands to 100% of width as the browser expands or contracts.
Can I select to be in more than one category?
Absolutely. However, please only select your relevant categories. If we encounter you in the wrong category, we will remove you since we want to make sure our members find the relevant providers. We also review this upon the submission of your application.
How do I represent myself if I offer virtual/remote services via the phone or internet ? (Ex: online courses or information products, digital goods, coaching, consultations,etc…)
There are 3 ways to make sure you are found nation-wide.
- Select ‘United States’ (you can also select all states) for your location.
- Select ‘virtual’ box to checkmark that.
- Add ‘tags’ that says virtual, remote, phone, internet in case someone searches in that manner. This will optimize people finding you regardless of their geographic preferences.
